Sounds of laughter, shades of earth, are ringing through my open mind, inciting and inviting me. Limitless undying love which shines around me like a million suns, it calls me on and on across the universe.
I’ve been wanting to write this post for a long time, but it was never the right time yet. I wanted to wait until the right words came into my brain. Apparently that day is today. Here goes!
As many of you know, nearly two years ago, my good friend’s younger sister died of Toxic Shock Syndrome….
This is my 4th tattoo out of 5. I got it in the summer of 2009. My friend was getting her first tattoo (the French word for “joy” on her foot along with this same heart in her handwriting), & I just got the heart for kicks & giggles on my right side. Inked at Metamorphosis in Broad Ripple, Indianapolis.

I got this tattoo on September 1st for my 18th birthday. The image is Max’s crown from Where the Wild Things Are. The book has always been my favourite since I was little and the movie was fantastic too. My childhood and imagination are really important to me, and as I grow up, I have a fear of losing these important parts of me. My tattoo is a symbol and reminder to stay young at heart and keep dreaming, imagining, and playing. Done at Nervosa Tattoos in Sherman, Tx.
